Buried in Plastic?

We each use an average of 600 plastic bags a year. What if all plastic bags you and your family used in a year were still in your car?
Watch this PSA in support of AB1998 to ban plastic bags in California, starring Ed Begley Jr., Kate Connor and featuring the music of the Ditty Bops. Directed by Grant James. And lets get a million people to watch it, too.

Single-use items, whether plastic bags or juice cups, need to be reduced. Start thinking about how you can reduce your single-use items today.
Plastic bags are vulgar! They are not a necessity and are seriously polluting our environment. They should not be distributed in supermarkets.
Like both of these videos. Just shared them on FB. Thanks!
Just get yourself a few cloth bags (buy them from Greenpeace/Friends of the Earth/CND/etc) and keep reusing. Only problem is they are not waterproof. My nearest shop is a 2 mile walk away. Can I line them with plastic bags and just go on using them like that? Anyone else had problems with shops that insist all purchases have to go in a shop-bag even if a bag is not required? I’m buggered if I am going to provide free advertising for them. I turn them inside-out if I am absolutely stuck and the purchase is vital eg medication.

Please help we the people limit, if not eliminate the use of plastic bag distribution. The unpleasant visual of these bags stuck in our beautiful California sage, clinging to a pristine Oak tree, or wrapped around a seagull fighting for its life must end. We have elected you to listen to our concerns. Please do not turn your backs on our enviroment and food chain!
My son loved being apart of this psa and we all have learned so much from it as well!

Was trying to get a questioned answered. Thought Jackson might have some idea. Since I can’t get a message to him, I thought perhaps one of you might have some idea. When I take our dog, Lucy, for a walk, I have been using those “plastic” bags to pick up & dispose of her “poopie doop.” I’ve been wondering what I can use instead. Keep in mind that I’ll be continuing to walk on busy public streets. I need something easy I can carry with me, on our long walks, to pick up & dispose of in public waste cans. And I don’t want to pick up remnants or odors on my hands, while I’m waiting to get to the next public waste can. Any Ideas?
Darlena,
this is one of the most frequently asked questions! In Europe you will often see people using paper bags, or even a newspaper. But we hear you, and we are working on addressing this question for you and all other dog lovers.
