  • Sylvia Earle, Ph.D. (Science Advisors) Sylvia Earle is an American oceanographer, explorer, author, and lecturer. She was chief scientist for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration from 1990-1992. In 1992, Earle founded Deep Ocean Exploration and Research to further advance marine engineering. Today Earle serves as Explorer in Residence at the National Geographic Society and the company known as DOER Marine is run by her daughter. In 2010, Sylvia founded Mission Blue and is currently Chairman and CEO of Sylvia Earle Alliance, her foundation. Mission Blue is a multi-year global initiative founded by TED, the National Geographic, the Waitt Foundation and SEAlliance with many partners committed to inspiring people to care and act to restore the ocean’s health and productivity by reducing the impact of fishing and creating marine protected areas — hope spots.
  • Earth Resource Foundation (Civil Society; Education) an environmental educational non-profit organization developed to empower the general public with the resources needed to make environmentally sustainable choices and changes. It is the belief of ERF that people want to act responsibly but are either unaware of their negative impact on the environment or are hindered by barriers that prohibit them from acting responsibly.
  • Earth's Berries Ltd (Business) Using a special kind of nut, called a soap nut, Earth's Berries produces eco-friendly laundry detergent. Their mission is to work cooperatively to help in the movement back to a simpler time and to use what has been provided for us by Mother Earth herself.

  • Ecousable (Business) EcoUsable, Inc. invents, produces, and markets reusable eco-friendly products that are fashionable and affordable for everyone.
  • Ecowell (Business). Ecowell provides customers with healthy on-the-go refreshments at our waste-free vending kiosks.
  • Elemental Essentialz (Business) Elemental Essentialz' Safe (& Beautiful) Cleaning Project is responding to two major problems with a majority of household cleaners: dangerous chemicals and packaging waste. In addition to being good for the planet, refilling their glass bottles is also economical, with refills costing half the original cost. Essentialz’ products include: household cleaners, coconut milk soaps, shea butter lotions, and lip balms, all of which are handmade using essential oils and natural ingredients
  • Emirates Diving Association (Civil Society) EDA is a non-profit voluntary federal organization which is accredited by UNEP as an International Environmental organization. EDA’s mission is to conserve, protect and restore the U.A.E’s marine resources by empathizing and promoting the marine environment and environmental diving.
  • EnviroFusion (Civil Society) Promoting Sustainable living in Hawaii and Environmental Awareness with Quality Reusable Eco-Products, Alternative Energy Resources & Zero Waste LifeStyle.
  • Environment California (Civil Society, Education) a statewide, citizen-based environmental advocacy organization. Our professional team combines independent research, practical ideas and tough-minded advocacy to overcome the opposition of powerful special interests and win real results for California’s environment.
  • Environmental Working Group (Civil Society, Research, Education, Health) EWG's mission is to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment. With their nonprofit and advocacy (EWG Action Fund) sides working together, EWG specializes in providing useful resources (like Skin Deep and the EWG's Shopper's Guide to Pesticides™) to consumers while simultaneously pushing for national policy change.
  • Marcus Eriksen, Ph.D. (Science Advisors; Founding Member) Dr. Eriksen is an advocate for ocean conservation, as the Director of Project Development for the Algalita Marine Research Foundation. In 2006, he won the H. David Nahai Water Quality Award in Education for his conservation work with inner-city students; in 2008, he won the Menzie Education Award from the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry for marine education. Recently, Marcus co-founded “5 Gyres Institute”, to study and communicate plastic pollution in the 5 large ocean gyres in the world. Marcus was elected a National Fellow of the Explorers Club in 2010.
