  • Beach Plastic (Art; Civil Society). Our love of nature is combined with our interest in science to produce an on-going series of art works about the oceans and the environment. While the content of our work has a message about the spoiling of the natural world by the industrial world, our final intent is aesthetic and celebratory.
  • Bioneers (Youth; Civil Society; Health) Two primary goals: connect people with solutions by popularizing breakthrough ideas and practices; grow social capital by catalyzing, connecting, and strengthening strategic networks, including bioregional and community-based alliances.

  • Breast Cancer Fund (Civil Society; Health; Education; Research) The Breast Cancer Fund works to connect the dots between breast cancer and exposures to chemicals and radiation in our everyday environments. They translate the growing body of scientific evidence linking breast cancer and environmental exposures into public education and advocacy campaigns that protect our health and reduce breast cancer risk.
  • The David Brower Center (Civil Society) The Brower Center is 50,000 sq. ft. highly advanced green office building in the bay area. By investing in a centrally located workspace and gathering place, the Brower Center is using real estate as an enduring progressive strategy and building a destination for activism and education.
  • California Coastal Coalition (Civil Society) CalCoast is a non-profit advocacy group comprised of 35 coastal cities; five counties; AMBAG, BEACON, SANDAG and SCAG; along with business associations and allied groups committed to restoring California's coast through sand replenishment, increasing the flow of natural sediment, wetlands recovery and improved water quality.
  • California Resource Recovery Association (Civil Society) Founded in 1974, CRRA is California's statewide recycling association. It is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit recycling organizations in the United States. CRRA is dedicated to achieving environmental sustainability in and beyond California through Zero Waste strategies including product stewardship, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting.
  • Californians Against Waste (Civil Society; Education; Youth) Dedicated to conserving resources, preventing pollution and protecting California’s environment through the development, promotion and implementation of waste reduction and recycling policies and programs.
